This week I read the book  The Princess In Black by Shannon Hale and Dean Hale.

 My favorite part was when the Duff thinks the princess in black was princess Magnolia. I like that part because the princess in black was princess Magnolia. In the story, princess Magnolia is having tea with the duchess … but the monster alarm started ringing! What should she do!

This Sunday at 3 pm I’ll be participating in the dedication of the Cold War Horse, a piece of artwork by my friend, Jeff Gipe. Jeff is a Brooklyn-based art who grew up in Colorado. His father worked at the Rocky Flats Nuclear Plant and from seeing what his father and other workers at the plant have gone through as a result of illnesses sustained through their exposure to radioactive materials, Jeff has produced some very thought provoking and beautiful artwork that commemorates what happened at Rocky Flats from 1952-1992.

I am honored that Jeff has asked me to speak at the dedication of the Cold War Horse and I hope that it remains there for years to come.
